Outage Update Lummi & Saturna Island 2021014 1433

PSE Energy has managed to restore the section of Lummi where our access point is located and we are excited to say that service has been restored to the Raccoon Point Area.  APs should also be fully operational on Saturna Island.  Thank you so much for your patience in this crazy time.

Please notify our office at 360-376-4124 or email us at support@orcasonline.com if your connection has not resumed after the power restoration.

Outage Update REVISION – Lummi Island – 20210114 1150

Our previous post on the Lummi Island power outage was incorrect.  After contacting PSE directly we learned that the power outage on Lummi affecting our access point had an estimated restoration time of 6 pm on Saturday the 16th.  We are currently exploring possible temporary power sources for our AP at that location.  More updates to follow.

Outage Update – Lummi Island – 20210114 0945

Power Restored – Network Up – 20210113 1920

At 7:20PM power was restored to Eastsound and Network Operations Center.

We have some lingering areas where power has not been restored and we are investigating.

Lummi Island is a concern as it is outside the San Juan Islands Archipelago.  The Puget Sound Energy website shows power has not been restored in that location. https://www.pse.com/outage/outage-map

Areas around Rosario Resort are an issue as well as the Deye Lane area near Orcas Center.

Outage Update 6pm Jan 13, 2021

Upstream provider just lost their generator. As a result our fiber connection is down.

They are getting new fresh equipment in place. Thank you for your patience.

Outage Update – Jan 13, 2021 – 1630

At this time there is no estimated restoration from Puget Sound Energy.  We anticipate that this outage may run into tomorrow, and in order to conserve operational ability and prevent possible damage to equipment, we are planning to shutdown our power generators at 10:30pm.  This will shutdown our equipment until power resumes, or until 7 am tomorrow morning when we will restart the generator.

Thank you for your patience as we eagerly await the return of our full system operation.
