11/13/24 – Outage on Orcas – ONGOING
The power is still out at the broadcast site. We have deployed a battery backup and our broadcasters are currently online and operational. We anticipate the battery backup will last roughly six hours, and are optimistic that power at the site will be restored before then.
11/13/24 – Outage on Orcas – UPDATE
A broadcast hub that serves areas of Orcas in and around Rosario has stopped responding to us. We are currently investigating the cause.
UPDATE: Power is out at the site where our broadcast tower is located. The residents are attempting to restore power and our technician is analyzing the status of our equipment onsite.
11/12/24 – Site down on Orcas – RESOLVED
We have mounted a new radio at the broadcast site and all related connections are up and running.

Power has been restored on Saturna and our broadcasters are up and running.

Last night’s windstorm knocked out power to several of our broadcasters that serve parts of Saturna and Orcas Island. Local power crews are already on site, and our connections will resume automatically when power is restored.
