Power Work on Saturna – 10/27/22

Onsite electrical work at one of our broadcast sites on Saturna Island that serves parts of Waldron and Orcas Island has temporarily disabled our radios.  The work is expected to last for about 20 minutes, after which the connection will resume at normal levels.

Backhaul Disruption – 10/25/22

Two of our main transmission links on Orcas are experiencing capacity drops during the severe rain showers we’ve been seeing lately.  We have backup links in place for both locations that have been capable of handling most of the load when the primary links fail.  At this point were are evaluating the proper procedure for such instances in regards to the primary link, and are working to optimize the backup links to decrease customer downtime and improve backup link capacity.

Cleanup on Orcas – 9/27/22 – Power Outage on San Juan – RESOLVED

Power has been restored on San Juan Island and our network in that area has returned to operational status.

We are still having trouble routing to one broadcaster on our Orcas network that serves customers around Sunset Mountain.  Our techs are currently working on a solution.

Equipment Malfunction on Orcas – 9/27/22 – RESOLVED Power Outage on San Juan

We have finished restoring the broadcast link affected by the equipment failure on Orcas.  All affiliated connections should be back up and running.

There is a power outage on the east side of San Juan that is affecting our broadcaster to Shaw Island.  We are monitoring the outage to ensure that our system comes back online when power is restored.

Power Outage on Saturna – 9/22/22 – UPDATE 2

Power has been restored on Saturna Island.  Our system came back online except for one local broadcaster that serves residents in the western part of East Point.  We’re having a local technician go to the site to reboot the equipment; we anticipate this occurring by 4 pm.
