Route failure UPDATE – 2021-09-28

Technicians have completed a run-through of our network to remove and rebuild the routing software.  The system should now be operating normally for all customers; however we will be reviewing the results of our work over the next few hours and may need to make further adjustments which could lead to brief interruptions.  We will post again when the issue is firmly resolved.

Since yesterday afternoon we have observed disrupted traffic at various hubs across our network.  Analysis determined that our network routing was randomly failing, causing connections to drop for a few seconds at a time.  Our techs are currently rebuilding the routes; once completed normally connectivity should be fully restored.

Buck Outage 09/11/2021

Lopez Power Outage – 2021-08-12

An unexpected power outage on north Lopez has taken down our repeaters that serve southern Orcas and parts of Blakely.  It appears to have occurred just after 4 pm.  At this point OPALCO has not given us a restoration time.  We are monitoring the situation.

Saturna link restored – 2021-07-29

We had a power failure at our access point hub on Saturna island.  Power was restored around 8:30 last night and the system appears to be operating properly.  We will continue to monitor the devices’ performance throughout the day.

Link disruptions on Saturna – 2021-07-28

We are currently experiencing an outage at our primary distribution point on Saturna that is affecting customers on Saturna, Pender and parts of Orcas, Stuart, and Waldron.  We are currently investigating the issue and will post updates as the situation develops.
