Saturna link restored – 2021-07-29

We had a power failure at our access point hub on Saturna island.  Power was restored around 8:30 last night and the system appears to be operating properly.  We will continue to monitor the devices’ performance throughout the day.

Link disruptions on Saturna – 2021-07-28

We are currently experiencing an outage at our primary distribution point on Saturna that is affecting customers on Saturna, Pender and parts of Orcas, Stuart, and Waldron.  We are currently investigating the issue and will post updates as the situation develops.

UPDATE: South Orcas Network Outage – 2021-06-25

We have verified that there is electrical work occurring at the site of our broadcast point on Lopez until around noon today.  Once completed, power will be restored and the service should resume.

UPDATE: Orcas to Saturna Link Repair – 2021-06-21

Our technician replaced some hardware at the broadcast site on Orcas and adjusted the network settings of the radio once it had linked up with Saturna.  At this point we are monitoring the connection to verify a successful repair.

Orcas to Saturna Link Repair – 2021-06-21

Our main link between Orcas Island and Saturna Island will be undergoing maintenance between 11 am and 12 pm; this may interrupt the connection for 15-20 minutes at a time.  This is to address an ongoing performance issue.

Mainland connection restored 20210217 0920

We determined that a bad piece of equipment, which was responsible for transferring the feed from the mainland link into our server, was disrupting our connection.  We have replaced the faulty equipment and connectivity has been fully restored.
