08/07/25 – Network Outage on Saturna

There is a device malfunction at the tower that serves residents of Saturna Island, which started late last night.  We are contacting local help in getting the equipment back online.

07/24/25 – Power Outage on Orcas – RESOLVED

Power has been restored to our broadcaster and all of our wireless links are up and running.  If your connection still has not resumed since the power outage began, please notify our office at support@orcasonline.com or 360-376-4124.

07/24/25 – Power Outage on Orcas

There is an unplanned power outage affecting one of our broadcasters on Orcas that serves Blakely and Frost islands.  OPALCO is aware of the issue, and we are monitoring the situation to ensure our system comes back up when power is restored.

07/23/25 – Network Outage on Saturna

Our backbone receiver for one of our towers on Saturna Island that serves parts of Orcas and western Waldron has stopped communicating with us.  We are contacting people onsite to investigate the reason for the outage.

07/08/25 – Power Outage on Orcas

UPDATE:  Power was restored after the eminent fire damage to the local community and power systems was determined to be minimal.  Please contact OPALCO about the power systems status.

5:12:PM Power is out in the Deer Harbor area due to a wildfire; this outage is affecting one of our local broadcast towers.  We anticipate that power will be restored normally once the fire is contained.

05/27/25 – Power Outage on Orcas – UPDATE

Power has been restored in the Rosario area and our broadcasters are back online; except for one that serves a section of customers near Dolphin Bay Rd.  We are currently working on getting that broadcaster back up.

There is a power outage affecting the eastern side of Orcas Island that has taken down a few of our broadcasters that serve parts of western Orcas along the shores of East Sound.  OPALCO is responding to the outage and we are monitoring our devices to ensure they come back online when power is restored.
