Electrical work was being performed on the site of our broadcaster. The work exceeded the charge of our onsite battery backup. OPACLO has informed us that power should be restored shortly.

One of our primary links between our office and customers in western Orcas has stopped transmitting. We are currently investigating the issue and we will post a recovery estimation when we know more.
Power outage affecting Shaw connections – RESOLVED – 05/13/2022
OPALCO restored power to our broadcast point yesterday evening. All of our broadcasters are operating normally and all affected customers should have regular connectivity again.
Power Outage effects customers with connections to Shaw Island – 05/12/2022
OPALCO reports – “UPDATE: 4:15 pm – A tree is in a transmission line on San Juan Island. Everyone is safe and the crew is working to restore the outage. The outage is expected to be restored in approx. 4 hours.”
Power outage on Pender – RESOLVED – 05/12/2022
Power has been restored to our broadcaster on Pender Island. All affected customers should have normal connectivity again.

Our broadcaster on Pender Island just went down due to a local power outage. We are monitoring the outage to ensure that our connection comes back up when power is restored.
Equipment failure on Orcas – RESOLVED – 04/06/2022
We suffered an equipment failure at one of our broadcast hubs in Eastsound late on the night of the 6th. The failed equipment has been replaced by a stronger device and all connections have been restored.
Power outage in Canada – RESOLVED – 04/05/2022
All power has been restored to the Canadian islands. Our access points are back up and all customer connections should be operational again.

Power was restored to Orcas Island and our network should be running for most of our clientele in the States. Electrical crews are still working in Canada to bring Saturna and Pender back up, we are monitoring their progress to ensure all of our radios come back up once they finish their work.
