3/14/23 – Planned power outage on Pender
The local power company is conducting a planned equipment maintenance on Pender Island. This is affecting our broadcast towers that feed traffic to parts of Saturna Island as well as Pender Island. This outage is expected to be completed by 2:30 pm today.
3/1/23 – Power outage on Saturna & Pender – RESOLVED
Power was restored early last night to both Saturna and Pender Island. Our system resumed operation automatically and all customers should be back online.

Crews have been assigned to the Saturna Island power outage. It is estimated they will be onsite by 6 pm this evening.

A regional power outage is affecting Saturna and Pender Island, taking down our broadcasters that serve clients on both islands. Local power crews have been assigned to the work, and we are monitoring their progress reports.

Power crews on Saturna restored all power around 7:30pm yesterday. We have confirmed that all of our broadcast radios are back online.

Power has been restored to parts of Saturna, but the area in which our equipment is located is still offline. Power work on the site is ongoing.

Trees have fallen on the power lines on Saturna Island, cutting off power to our broadcaster that serves parts of Saturna Island. Local power crews are onsite and have an estimated uptime of 11:30 am. We are monitoring the connection to ensure everything comes back online when the power is restored.

Power has been restored to Saturna Island and all of our broadcast points have resumed normal operation.

Power has been restored to parts of Pender island that house our broadcast equipment that serves areas on Saturna. We are still waiting for Saturna to be fully restored; local power providers estimate a restoration time of 8 pm today.

The windstorm has knocked down powerlines on Saturna Island, which has cut power to our access points that serve Saturna and Pender Island; the outage duration has also outlasted our onsite battery backups. Local power crews have been assigned to the outage, and we are monitoring their progress to ensure our equipment comes back online when power is restored.
