Technicians determined that a wire had failed at the site and installed a radio link to replace it. Further work will be made to finalize the link.

The primary feed at our Ferry Landing broadcast tower has been damaged by local building work. Our technicians will address the issue when they return to the island later today.
04/10/25 – Planned Power Outage on Orcas – RESOLVED
The planned outage has concluded and all of our broadcast towers are back online.

OPALCO is doing maintenance work in the North Beach area of Orcas. During this time a couple of our localized broadcasters will be offline. We are monitoring their status to ensure they come back online when the power is restored. The outage is expected to conclude at 2 pm today.

Power has been restored to Saturna Island and all of our broadcast towers are back online.

Power has gone out on Saturna Island, affecting broadcast towers that serve parts of Saturna and Pender Island. Local power crews are currently at work on the outage, and we are monitoring their status to ensure our equipment comes back up when power is restored.

There is a power outage on Pender Island, affecting a broadcast tower that serves parts of Saturna and Pender. Power crews have been assigned to the issue and we are monitoring our devices to ensure their restoration when power returns.
